Analysis
Among several classics and love stories of Bollywood, Kedarnath offers nothing new and interesting. Right from the script, the film looks uninteresting and has a bunch of flaws. The first half of Kedarnath has been decent with some interesting stuff which goes haywire during the second half. The lead actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan shine throughout in the film.
The trailer presents a series of episodes that happen due to the floods in Kedarnath. But they make no sense on screen and all the interesting shots have been shown in the trailer and is a huge disappointment. Kedarnath second half offers nothing and is a massive disappointment. The film tests the patience of the audience. On the whole, Kedarnath is a disappointment in all the available ways.
Performance
Sushant Singh Rajput leads the film in style and he carries the entire film on his shoulders. The actor's body language has been perfect and he shares a stunning bond with Sara Ali Khan throughout the film. Sara Ali Khan makes an impressive debut and is a treat to watch. Her performance, expressions will be remembered and she leaves a decent mark. Sara will end up as a star for sure soon. Alka Amin has been decent in the assignment and she dominates during the emotional drama. All the other actors supported the film well.
Kedarnath has a silly plot because of which all the efforts have been utterly wasted. The screenplay and dialogues look low. The music has been decent and the background score has been stunning and it elevated the film. The cinematography is a treat and some beautiful locales have been showcased well. The production values look lavish and grand. Abhishek Kapoor goes with the theme which is a bad choice for Kedarnath.
Final Word
Kedarnath misses the spark and goes logic less as the time passes. The performances by the lead actors is the only savior.
