Bollywood has been delivering hits back to back since the beginning. This year, there are more to come. These are a list of the most anticipated Bollywood movies to be released in 2021

1. Nail Polish

This movie will star Arjun Rampal, Manav Kaul, Madhoo, Anand Tiwari and Samreen Kaur. This movie is an illegal thriller which explores the uncertainty of the human mind.

2. Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi

Starring Naseeruddin Shah, this movie highlights an entire family gathering under one roof for 13 days after the death of a family member. The importance of family is highlighted in this movie. This movie was released on 1 January 2021.

3. Tribhanga

This movie is produced by Ajay Devgn and stars Kajol, Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar. It revolves around 3 different woman of three different generations leading 3 different lives.

4. Kaadan

This is one of the most anticipated movies of this year. It stars Rana Daggubati, Vishnu Vishal, Pulkit Samrat and Zoya Hussain. This film is also shot and will also be released in Tamil and Telugu. This film was initially scheduled to be released on 15 January 2021. Due to COVID-19, the release date has been rescheduled to 2 April 2020. The film revolves around an orphan boy who goes through life with the help of wild animals.

5. Bell Bottom

This spy thriller film will star Akshay Kumar who is also starring in three other up-coming films this year. This movie also stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi. It is scheduled to be released on April 2nd 2021.

6. Satyameva Jayate 2

This movie is a sequel to the first film Satyameva Jayate released in 2018. The movie’s plot revolves around a fight against injustice and misuse of power. This movie will star John Abraham. This movie is scheduled to release on May 12 2021.

7. Maidaan

This might be one of the only anticipated biographical sports films this year. This movie will star Ajar Devgn as a football coach. This movie is expected to release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, making this Ajay Devgn’s first Pan India acting venture. This movie will release around Dussehra 2021 which should be around October.

8. Laal Singh Chaddha

One of the most anticipated films this year, Laal Singh Chaddha will star Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. This movie is the adaptation of the English multiple awards, including the Academy Award winner, Forest Gump. Fun fact; It took the director ten years for adapting the script and another ten years to purchase the rights to remake the film. This film is expected to be released around Christmas time 2021.

9. Republic Day

This Akshay Kumar film is expected to be released around January 22,2021. However, fans are anticipating that the release will be on Republic Day itself.

10. Valentine’s day

Yet another highly anticipated film of this year, valentine’s day will star Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday. This Karan Johar produced movie will be released on February 12, just the weekend before Valentine’s day. Although much of the movie’s plot has not been revealed, speculations state that the movie might talk about modern day relationships.

11. Kabhi Eid, Kabhi Diwali

This movie will star block-buster hit actor Salman khan and Pooja Hedge. This movie will celebrate both Eid and Diwali with equal flavour for both. The movie will embrace concepts such as brotherhood, culture, and embracing the spirit of oneness.

12. Takht

This all star movie directed by Karan Johar stars Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and more. This historical film revolves around Aurangzeb’s life and the enmity between brothers for the royal throne.
