Sridevi died after drowning in a bathtub at Dubai in a hotel in 2018. Her husband Boney Kapoor for the first time talks about the incident, he says that Sridevi's death was not natural, but accidental. He said that he was accused of the death and went on many tests like a live detector because of the pressure Dubai police got from Indian media.

Boney Kapoor said he was talking for almost 24 hours or 48 hours, while he was being investigated. He also said Indian media have pressured Dubai police. He finally came out with a clean chit after much investigation. Sridevi died from drowning in a bathtub. Boney Kapoor also says that Sridevi used to be on a strict diet, to maintain her physique. He also said that she used to starve and explained how she had come down to 46-47 kgs in the past, that is at the time of English Vinglish.
