The Windsor EV will be the brand's third fully electric vehicle in India after the ZS EV and Comet EV. The MG Windsor EV is available in three major variants: Excite, Exclusive and Essence. In India, the Windsor EV is also available through a Battery Leasing as a Service (BaaS) program at Rs 3.5 per km. Exterior highlights include integrated LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels and door handles. The Windsor EV features an all-black cabin design with wood and bronze inserts. The Windsor EV features a 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital driver display and a panoramic glass roof. This device uses a 38 kWh battery and has a range of up to 331 km. The Windsor starts at Rs 99,000 (entry-level, ex-showroom). After a series of online teasers, the MG Windsor EV has finally been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 999,000 (entry level, ex-showroom). The Windsor EV is an electric crossover that sits between the Comet EV and the ZS EV in MG India's EV lineup. Pre-orders begin October 3rd, with delivery scheduled for October 12th. MG will be available in three versions: Excite, Exclusive and Essence. The Windsor EV is currently sold in the Indonesian market as the Wuling branded Cloud EV. With the launch of the Windsor EV, MG also introduced a Battery Rental as a Service (BaaS) program. This makes the electric crossover more accessible and customers only pay for use as there are no upfront costs. The Windsor EV can be purchased at Rs 3.5 per km, which is 40% of the fuel cost of an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle. The MG Windsor EV features a crossover body style and a clean, minimalist design. However, it retains its modern look thanks to the LED daytime running lights and LED tail lights mounted on the front and rear. The headlights are located in the bumper and the MG logo is located just below the centrally connected DRL strip. The first thing you notice on the sides are the aerodynamically designed 18-inch light-alloy wheels, with the charging valve located on the left front fender. Door handles that give it a more modern look. The Windsor EV is available in four exterior colors: Star Black, Pearl White, Terracotta Beige and Turquoise Green. The interior of the MG Windsor EV is finished in all black, with wood trim on the dashboard and bronze accents throughout. The seat upholstery is made of black leather and the steering wheel is also covered in leather. The rear seats recline up to 135 degrees and are equipped with a center armrest.
MG has equipped the electric crossover with a 15.6-inch touchscreen, the largest MG car unit offered in India. The Windsor EV features an 8.8-inch digital driver display, wireless mobile phone charging, automatic air conditioning, power driver's seat, power tailgate and a wide glass roof for the Indian model. Passenger safety is ensured by six airbags, a 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and electronic stability control (ESC). For the first time in the industry, the first group of customers is offered a lifetime warranty on the Windsor EV battery. Additionally, when customers charge at MG through the eHUB app, they can charge for free at all public chargers for one year. MG Windsor EV competes on price with Tata Nexon EV and Tata Punch EV.
