On Monday, the Poco M7 5G made its debut in India. This smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, has an IP52 rating for protection against dust and moisture, and boasts a robust 5,160mAh battery. It features a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera alongside an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The device is touted to have the largest display in its category and comes with three TÜV Rheinland certifications. It is a counterpart to the Poco M7 Pro 5G, which launched in India in December 2024. The Poco M7 5G starts at a price of Rs. 9,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB version is available for Rs. 10,999. These introductory prices apply only to the first day of sales, specifically on March 7, with availability commencing at 12pm on Flipkart. The device can be purchased in Mint Green, Ocean Blue, and Satin Black colors.
The Poco M7 5G is equipped with a 6.88-inch HD+ display (720 x 1,640 pixels) that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It can achieve peak brightness levels of up to 600 nits and features TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, and Circadian use. Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, it offers configurations of up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, running on Android 14-based HyperOS. In terms of camera functionality, the device includes a dual rear camera with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary sensor paired with a secondary sensor that remains unspecified. The 8-megapixel front camera is designed for capturing selfies and conducting video calls. Both the front and rear cameras support 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second.

For connectivity, the device supports 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Security is provided by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Additionally, its IP52 rating ensures resistance to dust and water splashes. The phone's dimensions are 171.88x77.8x8.22mm and it weighs 205.39g.
