A new study revealed that both the positive and negative actions of human beings are also influenced by the genetic variants along with environment conditions and human relations in their surroundings.
Sheilagh Hodgins of the University of Montreal said that genetic variants affects the human behavior and the life experienced by the individual certainly resemble in the psychological attitude of the individuals. Some of the genes are hereditary and some are unique to individuals.
The Monoamine oxidase A (MAOA), a protein coding gene and is vital enzyme in the catabolism of brain neurotransmitters, monoamines, especially serotonin. Catabolism refers to the breaking down of the complex materials and releasing of the energy within an organism. Diseases associated with MAOA include avoidant personality disorder, and maoa related behavior disorder.
Hodgins said that the people suffered abuses in the childhood are having less active variant of MAOA, and this is applicable to men and women. The struggled one will have hypo active variant of this crucial protein coding gene. This insufficiency may lead to indulge in the anti-social and illegal activities. People who commit sexual abuse, atrocities and anti-human activities are either having this disorder or un-ethical living practice in their life story.
The behavior of anti-social and delinquents are also dependent on the hereditary factors and less affective gene structure of the human beings. People having this kind of abnormality are more prone to retaliate or fight with the society and system.
This study was published in International Journal of Neuro Psychopharmacology. And it was more emphasized on the gene variants which led to differences in human behavior.
