In a startling  revelation made in a book detailing the conjugal tension between former US President John F Kennedy and the first lady Jacqueline Kennedy, actress/seductress Marilyn Monroe had called up Mrs. Kennedy to tell about her ongoing affair with JF Kennedy, to which Jackie retorted "that's great, I'll move out and you have all the problems."

The book titled “In These Few Precious Days: The Final Year of Jack with Jackie”, author Christopher Andersen describes how the first lady, who normally payed no heed to JFK's amorous affairs was most troubled by his relationship with Monroe.

The book states that Monroe was confident of the President eventually divorcing his wife and marrying her as told to her friend Jeanne Carmen "Can't you just see me as first lady?"

The book quotes late actor Pater Lawford, JFK's brother in law, who narrated how Monroe called up Jackie one day to tell about her amorous relationship with the President and how he has agreed to divorce her and set up a home with Monroe.

Kennedy is said to have responded : "Marilyn, you'll marry Jack, that's great... And you'll move into the White House and you'll assume the responsibilities of first lady, and I'll move out and you'll have all the problems" .
