A Connecticut man named Noel, who threw a fit and triggered an uproar after he climbed a Christmas tree, has been detained.
Police cut off the electricity and firefighters rushed to the spot at noon on Wednesday after Noel Delgado mounted the tree on the New Haven Green, a 16-acre park in downtown New Haven near Yale University.
Delgado held two banners in his hands that voiced his protest for various causes. Officers had to sweet talk him to climb down.
He has been charged with breach of peace.
