A man in Phoenix, Arizona posted a reluctant car advert hoping to dissuade prospective buyers. The owner of a 2003 Subaru WRX stated in his ad that the car has a ‘haunted’ water pump and comes with several dents.

Apparently the man made a deal with his wife that when their first baby was born he would sel off his car. But by the looks of the ad it doesn't seem that he is likely to say goodbye soon.

His car advert on Craigslist stated that the car is available for $400 (£240) less than its purchase price of $23,599 (£14,100), which was about a decade ago. This will definitely dissuade buyers.

The man stated that he is putting up his beloved 2003 Subaru WRX on sale just because he had promised his wife to get rid of it when their child arrives. In its place he would buy a  minivan or SUV, which would have a large rear window to put up an infuriating family sticker, he added.

The owner also described the car as the last vestige of his youth. He further added that any negotiation on price will lead to a further increase in price.

If you are still interested in the car you have to go see the car on the condition that the visit is made at a time when his wife is home. That way he can tell her, 'see I made an effort to sell the car'.
