Currently, Amazon Now is live on the Android platform only. The e-tailer has partnere with retail chains such as Godrej Nature's Basket, Big Bazaar, Food World, Reliance Fresh, besides local kirana stores.
The range of products covered includes groceries, baby items, health and personal care, home and kitchen products, besides others. Two new delivery services enabled with Amazon Now include express (two hours) and scheduled. Both would have delivery charges for orders less Rs 250.
Amazon India, category management VP, Samir Kumar said in a statement, "We are encouraged by the learnings from Kirana Now — a pilot that we started last year in Bengaluru to enable customers to shop for their everyday essentials from the ecosystem of their local stores and get them delivered within two-four hours. We are excited to expand that service to include more selection, more pincodes and invite other branded retailers, with the launch of a dedicated Android app Amazon Now."
