Phoenix Fire Department’s long time chaplain has passed away

Phoenix Fire Department’s spokesman confirmed that Phoenix’s Fire Department’s long-time chaplain passed away on Sunday morning. He worked for a decade with the fire department.

In his service at the fire department, he did marriages to more than 100 firefighters, performed several funerals and baptism for firefighters and their families.

Fire department confirmed that father Carl Carlozzi has died after fighting with esophageal cancer for more than a year. The department on Sunday posted on Twitter, “His love and spiritual guidance has served thousands.”

Father Carl has joined as a volunteer 25 years ago, he has responded to thousands of emotional dispatches, he always helped people in feeling at more ease and comfort said a fire spokesman.

No further information is provided about funeral services for Father Carl.
