Indo-American Foundation of Arizona Ekta Mandir & Community Center are bringing the most riveting and breathtaking event of the year, its Indian Republic Day Celebrations for 2018. It is time to cheer and rejoice as we celebrate this auspicious day with family and fraternity. For the years that have passed since 1950, our country ‘India’ has catapulted itself into a socio-cultural-economic and political powerhouse which the entire world looks up to. And like every year, it is time now to reckon and preach the significance of this special day, and share with our generations ahead. Come and celebrate as we bring in some of the most fascinating and astonishing performances along with sumptuous food and also some specialist picks from traditional Indian wear right here in Arizona.
The dinner and snacks brought to you by Amravati Indian Cuisine Include all delicious cuisines from every part of India. From piping hot masala chai, Samosa, Pani Puri, Chaat, Mirchi Bhajji to the south Indian Dosa, Biryani, Lassi, sweets and more, both in vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. The celebrations begin sharp at 4 pm on Saturday Jan 27th at Indo American Community Center, 2804, W Maryland Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85017. The event highlight includes dances, skit, music, songs and many more performances with participation from young kids to elderly. Come and join us as Indians all across, gather to celebrate and cherish the biggest day in the Modern Indian History where our constitution came into effect. This Governing Document marked the development of India as an Independent Republic in January of 1950.
All the programs and performances are a tribute to India, our unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage which binds us even though we are thousands of miles away. As a tradition the Indo American Cultural and Religious Foundation has been pivotal in bringing the cultural, religious, social and traditional flavors from India and celebrate the national and regional festivals and events which are our true essence.
