Ekal USA brings you a celebratory evening with a cause, a chance to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged rural and tribal Indians. This enchanting fundraiser on May 4th, showcases the most heartening performances from Aditi Bhagwat, the distinguished Kathak and Lavani dancer from India; and her group Kunal Tavri, Kantha Das, Suranjan Khandalkar and Shruti Bhave. Get ready Arizona, for a fun-filled and electric journey of Bollywood with a twist, a tribute to our culture and tradition with a more charitable endeavor.
Ekal Foundation, is an India based non profit organization working towards education and village development in rural and tribal areas. Ekal Vidyalaya is a movement which aims at integrating holistic development for rural and tribal India. Ekal means solo, and the movement brings the concept of one-teacher-schools or Ekal Vidyalayas in India, to promote education in wider and underprivileged regions of India. With over 26 years of experience, Ekal movement is bringing the opportunity at global platform, with organizational and individual donations helping it transform and change the lives of children in rural areas of India.
This movement is now the largest grass-root level non-governmental education and development movement, operating in remote villages of India. This movement aims at eradicating illiteracy from rural and tribal India following equality and inclusiveness across all strata of society.
Ekal USA brings global outreach to this movement with volunteers contributing to this noble cause from each and every part of the US. And as a part of this charitable endeavor, Ekal USA is organizing its event “Gypsy Carvan Journey of Bollywood”, here in AZ .
