All you Valley people, the weekend is right here! And if you haven't yet decided on how to spend your Friday yet, here is an event you might want to check out.

The Phoenix Festival of the Arts, kickstarting today at Phoenix, Margaret T. Hance Park, is in it's second year now. And the weekend-long cultural celebration promises to bring together all Valley artists, musicians, scholars, students and writers under one roof.

This year's theme is 'Placemaking' - the idea that our creative and cultural activities can change our communities for the better.

Just hop in with your family and friends to enjoy the arts and cultural shows and top-notch performances taking place on two stages as you enjoy some lip-smacking local food truck cuisine.

Please note, there is limited public parking. You are encouraged to take METRO Light Rail if possible.
