This weekend, plan something fun and sporty for your kids.

The city of Tempe is hosting Kids Rock and Roll Race this Saturday at Tempe Beach Park.

To be held tomorrow between 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., the entry cost for participation is $30.

The one-mile fun run for children in grades K – 6 will be a non-competitive, non-timed event that is all about having fun and making it to the finish line.

Participants can become full marathon finishers by completing a 25.2-mile training program prior to January 18th or they can just run, walk or jog the one-mile course on race day. Every child is a winner and will be rewarded with an official race number, T-shirt, goodie bag, and colorful medal – just for finishing.
