Tamil actor Vijay Anthony tested his luck with Nakili and Dr Saleem however the films failed to impress the Telugu audience. It was Bichagadu which made him widely popular and gave him the much needed success. Bichagadu went on to collect Rs 20 crores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana surprising many filmmakers. Sasi directed the movie and Satna Titus played the female lead in the movie. Vijay Anthony Film Corporation produced the movie which minted over Rs 40 crores in Telugu and Tamil languages. The actor is currently busy with his next film titled Bethaludu which will release during December this year.
As per the latest news, a sequel for Bichagadu is on cards and the pre-production work of the film is in process. Sasi is currently penning the script and Vijay Anthony is personally taking care of the script work. The movie will be made on a massive budget of Rs 50 crores and it will deal with black money. Bichagadu 2 will be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages and Vijay Anthony Film Corporation will produce the movie. The regular shoot of the film will start next year.
