Income Tax department has conducted raids on Wednesday at the home of actors Nayanthara, Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The raids were carried out at a total of 32 places across Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Hyderabad as well, sources revealed.

Offices, houses and other properties belonging to Nayanthara, Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu have been raided simultaneously. Also the houses of producers of Vijay’s Puli, which is slated to release on 1 October 2015, were also raided.

A source was quoted by IANS as saying that, "The raids were conducted following reports that some investment made in 'Puli' is unaccounted for." A big-budget fantasy drama Puli, is said to be the most expensive movie in the career of superstar Vijay.

According to a senior income tax official, the raids were in connection with the film Puli, said The Hindu.

"Yes, the raids are on. We have found out that a lot of investments in movie Puli are not explained," the official was quoted by the daily. It was added by the official that its department even raided the houses of the producers of Puli, just a day before its release.
