Tamil actor Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth are now officially divorced. A family court in Chennai has granted divorce for Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth on November 27th. Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth are married for 18 years and they decided to part ways in January this year and applied for divorce. They have two sons Yatra and Linga. Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth failed to appear before the court three times and on November 21st they appeared through camera proceedings. They expressed their decision to part ways after which the family court granted divorce.Superstar Rajinikanth has tried his best to reconcile them about their decision but Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth decided to part ways.

Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth got married in 2004 in Chennai. "18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa/Dhanush and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this" told the joint statement of Dhanush and Aishwarya after they decided to head for a divorce.
