Kamal Haasan and director S. Shankar are gearing up for the grand release of their upcoming film Hindi 2. However, a lawsuit was filed against this film to ban it. Ehsan Rajendran, a martial arts teacher from Kerala, has filed a complaint against the Hindi film 2. This martial arts instructor claimed that he was the one who trained Hindi film actor Kamal Haasan. He complained that the makers did not take his permission to use the Varma Kalai technique in the second part of the film. For those who don't know, the traditional Tamil art that depicts important points is called Varma Kalai. It is a combination of traditional yoga, massage, alternative medicine and martial arts and uses pressure points on the body to heal or harm the body.
The case was filed in the Madurai district court and the first hearing was held on July 9, ANI reported. The next hearing was adjourned by the judge as the makers of Indian 2 sought time for Rajendran's reply. Ehsan Rajendran is an instructor at HMS Colony in Madurai, where he teaches martial arts. He appealed, claiming that the 1996 Hindi film taught Kamal Haasan the art of Verma Kalai. Now he has asked the court to ban the release of his upcoming film 'Indian 2' in theaters and OTT platforms as the team used martial arts techniques without his permission. Indian 2 director S. Shankar also spoke about this in an interview with India Today. He said I don't know what Kamal Hasan did for this role. However, he said that he took advice from Prakasam Gurukkal regarding 'Varma Kalai'. Prakasam Gurukkal was brought in from Kerala at that time as the team needed expert advice, he said. Audiences will witness a different kind of Varnam's style in the sequel to Indian. “Indian 2” is scheduled to hit theaters on July 12.
