Nicolas Cage has provided voiceover for the latest animation film Croods, but that is not the end of his role with the movie. Grug, a devoted father in the movie for whom Cage has lent his voice, is very close to his own character in a few ways he said.

Grug is a father who is extremely stubborn and yet just as loving and nit-picky about work ethics. He is hardworking, and devoted to the family with no holidays whatsoever.

Cage, who is also a father of two says, parents might tend to be over-protective of their childen oftentimes - but they can be so for the good of their own children, right?

"It's impossible to be a father and avoid thinking about your child's first crush, or about keeping up with your kids' new ways of thinking," Cage said. He adds that parents need to find the point where they lean to the over-protective side and give their children the freedom they commend, just like Grug realized early in time and undergoes a transformation.

Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds have also lent their voices for this 3D Animation movie, The Croods. It will release worldwide on April 19th.
