Frieda Pinto finds less stereotypes in India cinema

Do you all remember the young woman from India who appeared in Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire? Frieda Pinto, the leading lady in Danny Boyle's classic film seems to be of the opinion that stereotypes are more in Hollywood compared to Bollywood. While accepting that stereotype characters still exist in Indian cinema, she said probably it was her choice of the films that make her the difference.

Frieda Pinto even starred in Hollywood flicks such as Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Immortals and You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger. In all these flicks, Frieda Pinto managed to break the jinx of stereotype Indian. She's actually trying her best for doing the same in Bollywood movies too. In fact, she has already bagged a Bollywood offer NH 10 and it looks like she will appear in a different role in this movie too. She was in praise of Bollywood film Kahaani, wherein a female character taken the centre stage. Good that Indian cinema is changing for good!
