6 times Grammy winner Randy Travis, who recently suffered a critical stroke and had to undergo a brain surgery to relieve pressure from the brain, is still critical.

The 54-year-old country music singer is under heavy sedation now.

Updating on his critical condition, Travis' publicist Kirt Webster issued a statement stating, "Mr. Randy Travis has been under heavy sedation since he came out of surgery late Wednesday night, July 10th, and is resting comfortably. He is still in critical condition."

Travis underwent a crucial brain surgery at Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, located north of Dallas, on Wednesday.

He was taken to the hospital after the doyen he was suffered a heart failure triggered by a rare viral infection.

Best known for smash hits like "Forever and Ever, Amen" and "Three Wooden Crosses," Travis has received widespread support and prayers from fans and well-wishers worldwide.
