Yesterday was quite an eventful day for Indian cricket. While at one hand it bid a tearful adieu to the God of Cricket - Sachin Tendulkar, on the other hand, it marked the return of Yuvraj Singh to T20 Cricket after a long hiatus.
And what a match it was. The southpaw banged a 77 off 35-ball, hitting five sixes and eight fours in his true style and outscoring Australia in a grand flourish.
“Amid the constant threat of a downpour, all that rained on the ground were monster hits, first by Aaron Finch (89, 52b) and then, just when it appeared that the required rate had spiraled beyond redress, by Yuvraj. It looked all over for India when Virat Kohli (29) was the fourth top-order batsman out, with the score on exactly 100 in the 12th over, the home side having already lost the dangerous Rohit Sharma (8), Shikhar Dhawan (32) and Suresh Raina (19),” reported Yahoo.
