Star cricketer, who has huge fan following across the country, Yuvraj Singh addressed the media today for the first time after he returned from US on Monday. He was in Indianapolis for a couple of months to get treatment for a kind f germ cell cancer . Yuvraj said that he wanted to come back to cricket, but hinted that it was a difficult task.
Responding to couple of questions fired by the media regarding his future in cricket, the left handed aggressive batsman replied that he loves to back in the crease, but his entire concentration now is on health. He urged fans to be a bit patient as they were for the past couple of months.
Briefing about the illness, Yuvraj said that he had to face a tough time and that he it took over six months to actually diagnose that he suffered from cancer. Recalling the worst moments, Yuvy said he even coughed out blood many times. He said he never shared about his illness with anyone for quite sometime and kept himself cheering despite knowing that there was something really wrong. Yuvraj has said that he has received complete support from his mother when he was undergoing three painful sessions of Chemotherapy. It may be noted that Yuvraj missed IPL 5 and Australian tour due to the illness. Fans are wishing speedy recovery of this dynamic batsman. (Phani)
