Former Skipper of Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid, who is appointed the coach of India-A and Under-19 team, has politely said that he does not want to run for the race of Team Indian coach position, though many have preferred him.

At a time he was proposed by most of the veteran players and former cricketers as he can maintain cordial relationship with each and every person associated with the team. When he was asked to respond on the aspirations for the high profile post in the cricket world, he simply said, “No, absolutely not. I am only looking at India-A and Under-19 appointment (as coach). I am not thinking about that (national coach’s post).”

During an event at the International Institute of Sports Management, he praised the team under Ravi Shastri directorship, and cleared that he wants to engage a planned way for empowering the future jewels in the world. “It’s an important stage for any player - being part of India A, U-19 squads. I am very happy I have been given that job. There will be 2-3 series and I will share my experiences as a player with them,” he said.

The experience of mentoring the Rajasthan Royals team in IPL added great qualities in him, according to his opinion. The new management of BCCI may prefer Sourav Ganguly for the post of Team India coach, if in case they want Indian to look after the squad and may call for applications if they want another person to train Indian Team.
