Mystery illness is likely to keep Phoenix Coyotes captain and lead scorer Shane Doan out of the lineup for an extended period of time.
Doan was missing from the ice on Thursday morning and will also miss the third straight game against New York Islanders.
The last time we saw Doan on the ice was Dec. 4 against the Flames.
"He's still under the weather and he’s still not going to be available for the foreseeable future," head coach Dave Tippett said. “He’s still getting some tests done, so hopefully it’s not long, long-term.”
So far this season Doan has 12 goals, 11 assists and 23 points.
