Arizona clocked its biggest win of the season on Thursday night after it routed Southern for 69-43.

The game wasn't really a cinch for the winners, but they shook off the distractions and pulled away for another victory.

Aaron Gordon clocked a career-high 21 points, Nick Johnson netted 17 and Brandon Ashley contributed a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Arizona Wildcats (12-0).

Arizona opened its second week at No. 1 on Thursday night.

"I'm happy for the win from the perspective of this was a hard week for our team," Arizona coach Sean Miller said.
