At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh secured another bronze medal for India by winning the mixed team 10m air pistol match against Korean opponents, Lee and Ohin. This victory marked a significant moment in India's Olympic history, as Manu became the first athlete in the country to claim two medals in one event since independence in 1947. Previously, Manu had earned a bronze in the women's individual 10m air pistol final, making her total medal count two at the Games. This achievement also marked India's first team event medal in Paris, achieved by defeating the Korean duo 16-10 in the bronze match. The only other Indian to win two medals in a single Olympics was Norman Pritchard, who achieved this feat during the 1900 Games under British rule with two silver medals in athletics.

No athlete from India has achieved the feat of claiming two medals in a single Olympic campaign. Notable individuals who have secured two medals throughout their Olympic career include Sushil Kumar, a wrestler, and PV Sindhu, a badminton player. Sushil pocketed a bronze in Beijing 2008, followed by a silver in London 2012, becoming India's first solo athlete to earn multiple Olympic medals after independence, spanning separate Olympic events. PV Sindhu secured silver at Rio Olympics by losing out to Carolina Marin from Spain in the final, marking India's inaugural silver win in Olympic badminton. Later, Sindhu clinched bronze at Tokyo 2020, emerging as the sole Indian female athlete to secure various medals at the Olympics across different years.
