On day 6 at the Paris Olympics, there is good news and bad news. Swapnil has bagged the first bronze adding the third medal for India. A guaranteed medal in badminton has come to an end with Sindhu's exit. In badminton: The three-time Olympic medal winner PV Sindhu has suffered a heartbreaking defeat in women’s singles against China’s He Bingjiao. Sindhu says that she might have avoided mistakes in defense, however, the lady walked out from the pre-quarterfinal. The 29-year-old's exit from the Paris Olympics shocks many Indian fans. She lost with a score line of 21-19, 21-14 in 56 minutes. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chorag Shetty lost against the Malaysian pairing of Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik in badminton doubles with a score of 21-13, 14-21, 16-21. In another match, Lakshya Sen Vs Sift Kaur Samra (an Indian Vs Indian), Lakshya Sen won 21-12, 21-6. In Riffle: Swapnil Kusale is the first Indian to finish the Men’s 50m Rifle in the third position event. He finishes with a score of 451.4 in the final and gets bronze in the 33rd edition of the summer games.

However, Anjum Moudgil and Sift Kaur were out of the women’s 50m Rifle 3 position event qualification rounds as they finished in 18th and 31st positions with scores of 583 and 575 respectively. In Boxing: Nikhat Zareen lost against Chinese pugilist Wu Yu in the women’s 50kg event in Round 16. In Archery: Pravin Ramesh Jadhav lost against China’s Kao Wenchao in the elimination round 64 of the men’s individual recurve event (28-29, 29-30, 27-28). Coming To Hockey: Team India has seen their first loss in the Olympics, however, Team India has already secured a position in the quarterfinals. This loss will not harm the Men in Blue. In Sailing: In men’s dinghy ICLA 7 Vishnu Saravanan finished the race in 10th position and in Women’s Dinghy ICLA 6 event, Nethra Kumaran came in sixth position. In Race Walk: In the 20km race walk event, Priyanka Goswami has finished the race in the 41st place. In the Men’s 20km race walk event final, Vikas Singh finished in 30th place in the final with 1:22:36, while Paramjeet Singh Bisht finished in 37th place with a time of 1:23:48 and one more Akashdeep Singh did not complete the race. In Golf: Shubhankar Sharma ended up in 29 position and Gangajeet Bhullar in 54th before the first round of the men’s event.
