Redmi 14R has been launched in China. The latest budget smartphone from the Xiaomi subsidiary is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone runs Android 14 and has Xiaomi HyperOS interface. It is equipped with a 5160mAh battery that supports 18W charging. The successor to the Redmi 13R received a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The Redmi 14R starts at CNY 1,099 (roughly Rs. 13,000) for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Available in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB configurations, it is priced at CNY 1,499 (Rs. 17,700 approx.) and CNY 1,699 (Rs. 20,100 approx.), respectively. The other 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs. 22,500). The new Redmi 14R is available in Deep Ocean Blue, Lavender, Olive Green and Shadow Black (in Chinese translation) colors on the company's Chinese website. There is no information yet on whether the phone will appear in global markets, including India.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 14R runs the HyperOS operating system based on Android 14. Its 6.68-inch HD+ LCD display has a 120 Hz refresh rate and 600 nits peak brightness. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM. According to the company, the phone has a 13-megapixel primary camera and an unspecified secondary sensor. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel teardrop camera for selfies and video calls. The Redmi 14R comes with up to 256GB of inbuilt storage and connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric identification. The Redmi 14R is equipped with a 5160mAh battery that supports 18W charging.
