LG unveiled its latest hot laptops on Tuesday ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. According to the company, LG's 2025g laptops will feature on-device and cloud-based artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities with Intel's Core Ultra H-series (Arrow Lake) processors. This collection includes four models: LG Gram Pro, Gram Pro 2-in-1, Gram and Gram Book. According to LG, the new LG Gram Pro 2-in-1 won the CES 2025 Innovation Award for its design and features. According to LG, the 2025g LG laptops are equipped with Intel Core Ultra H-series (Arrow Lake) and Intel Core Ultra V-series (Lunar Lake) processors. The former promises to maximize traditional PC performance, while the latter is optimized for an AI-powered PC experience. Lunar Lake models are certified by Microsoft Copilot+ and include features such as real-time video caption translation and artificial intelligence image generation.
LG announced that its latest laptops will use cloud-based artificial intelligence and on-device artificial intelligence. Gram Chat Cloud is powered by GPT-4o and is free for the first year. The company says it uses web-based data collection to answer user questions in detail and integrates it with personal calendar and email services. The on-device AI, on the other hand, uses a Small Language Model (SLM), which is derived from the EXAONE Large Language Model from LG AI Research. It includes new time travel features that allow users to quickly access web pages, documents, videos and audio files. All LG 2025 Gram laptops support Gram Link 2.0, which enables easy connection of devices across different operating systems. Users can share content and make calls between PCs, iOS and Android-based smartphones.
Powered by an Arrow Lake CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, the new LG Gram Pro (17Z90TR) enables resource-intensive graphic design, 3D rendering tasks, video editing and running the latest AAA games. Meanwhile, the Gram Pro 2-in-1 (16Z90TS) is a Copilot+ certified computer, weighs just 1.3 kg and has a 16-inch OLED display. The range also includes the LG Gram Book (15U50T) with a 15.6-inch Full HD display, a 720p HD webcam with privacy screen and expandable storage options. All of LG's 2025g laptops will be available at CES 2025 in Las Vegas starting January 7th.
