The Vivo V50 was introduced in India on Monday. This smartphone features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and boasts an impressive 6,000mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging. It is designed with two rear cameras, each at 50 megapixels, and a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The device is purported to have IP68 and IP69 ratings, indicating robust protection against dust and water, and it has a sleek profile measuring just 7.39mm, claiming the title of the slimmest device in its category. Additionally, it is packed with various AI functionalities such as Circle to Search, Transcript Assist, and Live Call Translation.
In India, the Vivo V50 starts at a price of Rs. 34,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version. The models with 8GB RAM plus 256GB and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage are priced at Rs. 36,999 and Rs. 40,999, respectively. Sales will commence on February 25 through Flipkart, Amazon, and the Vivo India official online store, with pre-orders already open. Customers purchasing the Vivo V50 can also take advantage of a special offer on the Vivo TWS 3e, available at a discounted price of Rs. 1,499 instead of its usual Rs. 1,899. The smartphone is available in three colors: Rose Red, Starry Blue, and Titanium Grey.

The Vivo V50 features a 6.77-inch full-HD+ display with dimensions of 1,080 x 2,392 pixels and a quad-curved AMOLED panel that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz, creating outstanding visuals and brightness levels of up to 4,500 nits with a pixel density of 387ppi. It is built on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, with options for up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device operates on FuntouchOS 15 based on Android 15. For its camera capabilities, the Vivo V50 includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.88 aperture supported by optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.0 aperture on the back. The front camera, which is also a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, is intended for selfies and video conferencing. This device has the advantage of a partnership with Zeiss and features Vivo’s Aura Light alongside AI-enhanced photo editing tools like Erase 2.0 and Light Portrait 2.0, as well as the previously mentioned AI functionalities.
The Vivo V50 is powered by its 6,000mAh battery with rapid charging of 90W, and for biometric security, it incorporates an in-display optical fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include dual 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, OTG, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. The smartphone’s resistance to dust and splashes is backed by IP68 and IP69 ratings. The Titanium Grey variant of the Vivo V50 measures 163.29 x 76.72 x 7.39mm and weighs 189g. The Rose Red and Starry Night models weigh slightly more, at 199g, with thicknesses of 7.57mm and 7.67mm, respectively.
