On Thursday, Oppo introduced the Find N5 globally, marking the launch of its latest book-style foldable smartphone from the Chinese original equipment manufacturer. This device succeeds the Find N3 released in 2023 and operates on Qualcomm's top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which enhances its capabilities in both on-device and cloud-based artificial intelligence. The Flexion Hinge design features a construction that offers 36 percent greater rigidity compared to its predecessor, utilizing Grade 5 titanium alloy for the hinge’s plate. Oppo has designated the Find N5 as the "world's thinnest foldable" smartphone, with a thickness of just 8.93mm and a weight of 229g. The pricing for the Oppo Find N5 is set at SGD 2,499 for the single variant that includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Available color options include Misty White and Cosmic Black, with sales in Singapore commencing on February 28.

The Oppo Find N5, supporting dual Nano SIMs, operates on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. It features an expansive 8.12-inch 2K (2,480 x 2,248 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display boasting a pixel density of 412ppi and a dynamic refresh rate of 120Hz. The internal screen is capable of delivering a touch response rate of up to 240Hz and achieves peak brightness levels of 2,100 nits. Additionally, it has earned TÜV Rheinland's Minimized Crease Certification, and the display is safeguarded with Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG). The external display of the smartphone measures 6.62 inches and features a 2K (2,616 x 1,140 pixels) AMOLED screen that supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and has a pixel density of 431ppi.

The Find N5's performance is driven by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Built on a second-generation 3nm architecture and featuring a Hexagon NPU, this chipset is reported to offer a 45 percent increase in AI performance and includes an Adreno 830 GPU.

This smartphone is equipped with a variety of AI capabilities, including AI Search, allowing users to swipe down on the home screen for query searches. The AI Call Summary function can transcribe calls, summarize content, and generate action points based on the conversation. Additional features include dual-screen translation and interpretation. The Oppo AI Toolbox encompasses tools such as AI Summary, AI Speak, and AI Writer, designed to enhance reading and writing experiences through AI technologies. Operating on ColorOS 15, it also boasts several photo editing options like AI Clarity Enhance, AI Erase, and AI Unblur.

In terms of photography, the Oppo Find N5 showcases a triple rear camera array branded by Hasselblad, consisting of a 50-megapixel f/1.8 primary sensor equipped with both optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS), alongside a 50-megapixel f/2.7 periscope telephoto sensor capable of 3x optical zoom, complemented by OIS, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 116-degree field of view, also featuring OIS. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8-megapixel camera available on both the inner and outer displays of the device.

The latest Oppo Find N5 comes equipped with a variety of connectivity features such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, Beidou, standard GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and a USB Type-C interface. Additionally, it boasts stereo speakers and includes a fingerprint sensor located on the side. This smartphone is powered by a dual-cell battery with a capacity of 5,600mAh, which supports 80W SUPERVOOC charging when wired and 50W AIRVOOC charging for wireless use.
