Samsung India has disclosed its plan to introduce numerous innovative artificial intelligence (AI) washing machines in the nation on Wednesday. The South Korean tech firm's Indian division will launch up to 10 distinct AI washing machines before the festive period, which commences in the second week of October. These devices will be part of the company's premium Bespoke AI series of home appliances. Earlier this month, Samsung also teased one of the front-loading AI washing machines, which is anticipated to be included in the aforementioned lineup. In a press release, the company stated its intention to unveil the AI washing machines prior to the festive season in India, likely targeting the surge in consumer spending during this period. While Samsung has not disclosed the specific details of the washing machines, it claims that they have been tailored to suit the country's needs. The AI-powered washing machines are part of the company's high-end Bespoke AI series of home appliances, which was introduced during a physical event held simultaneously in Seoul, Paris, and New York City in April.
The tech behemoth offers a personalised experience for users with intelligent and intuitive offerings. While the details of the AI-powered features in their washing machines remain undisclosed, they have promised a "whole suite of AI-powered features" that will make the experience "smarter, more efficient, and eco-friendly". The company's support page sheds light on some potential AI features, including an AI Control function that learns the user's habits and adapts accordingly. Additionally, an AI Wash feature is designed to detect the fabric's weight and soiling level, and adjust the water, detergent, and cycle times accordingly. Furthermore, the company is leveraging AI to optimize the electricity and water consumption for each wash. However, it's important to note that the availability of these and any additional AI features may vary in the company's upcoming product lineup.
