Akkineni’s young lad Akhil Akkineni made his debut with Akhil which is said to be a mass entertainer. Sensational director VV Vinayak has taken the responsibility of the film which ended as the biggest debacle in Tollywood in the recent times. Akhil and Nagarjuna have been badly disturbed with the result of the film and Nag revealed that Akhil is not in a hurry and will take time for his second film. Names like Trivikram, Krrish and Srinu Vaitla have been considered for Akhil’s second project but things did not materialize as the directors have been busy with their commitments.

Nagarjuna surprised everyone with his recent outing Soggade Chinni Naayana which ended as the biggest hit in his career that released for Sankranthi. Kalyan Krishna Kurasala made his directorial debut with this film and Ramya Krishna, Lavanya Tripathi played the female leads. As per the latest update, Nag asked Kalyan to come up with an engaging script and he handed over the responsibility of Akhil’s second film to Kalyan. Annapurna Studios will produce the film which may start during the second half of 2016. On the other hand Akhil is listening to scripts from other directors but nothing has been finalized.
