Victory Venkatesh surprised Tollywood by wrapping up his latest outing Guru in less than 50 working days without any breaks. Sudha Kongara Prasad directed the movie which is said to be a sports drama and is the remake of Bollywood film Sala Khadoos. Venky will be seen in a toned look with thick beard throughout the film and he will be seen essaying the role of a boxing coach. The makers wanted to release the film during Republic Day this year and wrapped up all the post-production formalities.

However Suriya’s Singam too has been slated for the same day release which left Venky and the makers confused about the film’s release. Hrithik Roshan is gearing up with Kaabil which will release in Telugu as Balam on the same day. Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees too is releasing during Republic Day which made Venky walk out of the race. With February occupied with many movies, the makers are in plans to release the movie in April during summer. An official announcement is expected soon.Ritika Singh reprised her role from the original and Y Not Studios bankrolled Guru. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer and the teaser is already a smashing hit all over.
