Analysis
The Warrior starts with a bang and the narration looks interesting. The songs are shot well and Ram looks energetic in the role. His transformation from a doctor to a cop will impress the audience. The interval twist is the major highlight of the film. Ram's performance takes the film to the next level. Krithi Shetty's role should have been better. Aadhi Pinisetty's characterization is the major USP of the film. The first half of The Warrior looks decent and paves a good path for the second half of the film.
The second half of The Warrior is packed with action episodes but it looks dragged. The action episodes are the major highlights of the film. Both the songs in the second half are well shot and well presented. Ram's dance moves are an added advantage for the film. The pre-climax episodes are dragged and the climax episodes are predictable. On the whole, the second half of The Warrior fails to live up to the expectations and it is below average.
Performance
Ram has been energetic, matured and delivers his career's best performance in The Warrior. The actor worked on his looks and his dance moves are stunning. The actor also challenged Aadhi in most of the episodes and dominated the show. Krithi Shetty has a meaty role and the actress has done well in the songs. She plays a RJ and her role should have been penned better. Aadhi Pinisetty delivers his best and he fits well in the role of Guru. The actor excelled and dominated the show completely. All the other actors have been decent in their roles and they performed well.
The Warrior has a predictable script that gets a pale treatment. N Lingusamy is outdated as a director and he could not save the film. Ram and Aadhi Pinisetty impressed the audience with their performances but this alone could not save the film. The songs are well presented and they looked colorful. The music is supportive but the background score is below average. The production values are grand enough and the makers spent lavishly on the film. N Lingusamy fails once again in making an impressive film.
Final Word
Ram and Aadhi Pinisetty steal the show with their stellar performances but this alone could not save the film. The Warrior will end up as a below-average film.
