Megastar Chiranjeevi is quite busy with his political engagements over the past few years and he planned to make his comeback to mainstream cinema a couple of years ago. He has been waiting for the right film and script to make his comeback and considering his fans and the expectations on his comeback film, he rejected number of scripts.

Though it is a surprise, Chiru opted out to remake Vijay’s blockbuster Kaththi which has been directed by AR Murugadoss which discusses about the social issues of the farmers. Sensational director VV Vinayak took the responsibility to transform the script as per the Telugu nativity. The pre-production work of the movie has been wrapped up recently and the movie will have its official launch on April 29th.

The movie will be launched with a pooja ceremony on April 29th at 1:30 PM in the presence of limited guests and will be a private affair completely. Ramcharan will produce the movie and the regular shoot of the film is expected to start from June this year. Kathilantodu is the title under consideration for the movie.
