Syeraa is one of the prestigious Tollywood films that will release this year. Megastar Chiranjeevi dedicated two complete years for this magnum opus which completed shoot recently. Surendar Reddy is the director and Megastar essays the role of freedom fighter Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy in this big budget periodic drama set during the independence. There have been speculations that Anushka has been picked up to essay a crucial role in the film and the makers kept things under wraps.

We have some exclusive news about this and Anushka will reprise the role of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, the warrior queen in Syeraa. Anushka is even the narrator of Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy's story. Impressed with the assignment, the actress signed the film on spot and completed her part in a quick schedule during May. She is currently in USA shooting for Silence which releases next year. Syeraa is currently in final stages of post-production and the film releases during October this year. Konidela Production Company bankrolled the film.
