Rana Daggubati did not score big in the recent years after Baahubali franchise. The actor had health issues and took a break. Rana Daggubati pinned all his hopes on Virata Parvam, an interesting attempt which is a social drama and is packed with action. Venu Udugula is the director and Sai Pallavi is the heroine. Virata Parvam is inspired by a real life incident and Venu Udugula worked for three years on the script. Virata Parvam is made on a budget of Rs 30 crores.
The film opened on a dull note and the word of mouth too is mixed. Though some of them were impressed with the poetic narration, Virata Parvam fell flat because the film had no commercial ingredients. Virata Parvam will end up as one of the biggest flops of Telugu cinema and the film will fail to report minimum shares from the weekdays. Virata Parvam is directed by Venu Udugula and Rana Daggubati, Sai Pallavi are the lead actors. Naveen Chandra, Nandita Das, Priyamani and Rahul Ramakrishna will be seen in other important roles. Suresh Bobbili composed the music and background score. SLV Cinemas and Suresh Productions are the producers.
