According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor is demanding a staggering amount of Rs 75 crores for his role as Lord Ram in the movie adaptation of Ramayana. Director Nitesh Tiwari is helming this ambitious project, with Ranbir leading the way. The actor has been undergoing rigorous training to prepare for the role, and filming has already commenced. In the midst of these developments, a new report has surfaced, claiming that Ranbir has requested an enormous sum for his involvement in the film. If the reports are accurate, Ranbir's fee for the project amounts to Rs 75 crores, exceeding the amount he charged for Animal. In October, Pinkvilla reported that Ranbir had taken a 50 percent pay cut for Sandeep Vanga Reddy's directorial venture, charging a fee of Rs 30 to 35 crore. Meanwhile, it is rumored that Sai Pallavi is demanding Rs 6 crores for her portrayal of Goddess Sita. Although her fee is lower than Ranbir's, it is a significant increase from her reported fee of Rs 2.5 to 3 crores for the film.
Nitesh Tiwari has recently commenced filming for Ramayana, and clips from the production have already appeared on social media. Akruti Singh, an actress in the film, shared a video of the impressive Ayodhya set in Mumbai on her Instagram stories. Additionally, unauthorized photos of Lara Dutta and Arun Govil on set have been leaked. In response to these breaches, director Nitesh Tiwari has taken strict measures to counteract them. India Today reports that Tiwari is deeply disappointed by the leaks and has therefore implemented a "no-phone policy" on set. Furthermore, he has insisted that all unnecessary staff and crew members vacate the set during filming. According to the report, only essential actors and technicians are permitted to be present.
