Malayalam actor Dulquer Salman gained reception in Tollywood with Mahanati and he has been doing films in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam languages. After Mahanati, the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies produced a romantic tale Sita Ramam. Dulquer Salman, Mrunal Thakur played the lead roles and Rashmika Mandanna essayed a pivotal role. Sita Ramam is carrying good expectations and the makers spent a bomb on the promotions of the film. Sita Ramam is said to be made on a budget of Rs 50 crores and the makers recovered Rs 30 crores through the non-theatrical rights.
The theatrical rights are valued at Rs18.70 crores and the film has to collect Rs 20 crores for breakeven status. The trailer and the songs look promising. The film's director Hanu Raghavapudi is super confident on making his comeback after a series of flops. Vishal Chandrasekhar's music album is already a hit. Dulquer Salman plays an Army man and Mrunal plays Sita. A major portion of the film is shot in Kashmir and Russia.
