After the super success of the first installment of HIT, the makers spent lavishly on the second installment titled HIT 2. The film was made on a budget of Rs 18 crores and is directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Adivi Sesh replaced Vishwak Sen as the lead actor and HIT 2 released on December 2nd. Adivi Sesh and his team promoted the film lavishly and HIT 2 opened with a bang. The film collected a theatrical share of Rs 14.91 crores in its first weekend across the globe. The theatrical rights of the film are valued at Rs 15 crores and the non-theatrical rights of the film are sold for Rs 17 crores. Adivi Sesh, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Rao Ramesh, Thanikella Bharani and others played the lead roles.
Nani, the producer of HIT 2 also surprised the audience in a cameo as a cop and he made it official that he will play the lead role in HIT 3. The third installment of the film will start next year after Nani is done with his current projects. Wallposter Cinema produced HIT 2 and the film is an investigative thriller. The film's director Sailesh Kolanu announced that HIT will continue as a franchise in Telugu cinema. Here are the first weekend collections of HIT 2:
