Tamil Superstar Vijay has high hopes on his next film Varisu and it is titled Vaarasudu in Telugu. Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally is the director and the shooting portions are concluded recently. Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine and Sarathkumar, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Shyam, Prakash Raj will be seen in other prominent roles. Varisu is touted to be a family entertainer with Vijay's style action and entertainment. The trailer of the film was released last night and the response was good across the Tamil circles. Vijay's fans loved the trailer. But the response is poor and mixed in Telugu states.
Vaarasudu trailer was compared to that of Srimanthudu, Maharshi and Gowtham SSC. The trailer had several similarities of the above films. Vaarasudu may not open with a bang in Telugu states as there are biggies like Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy releasing for Sankranthi this year. Vaarasudu is made on a budget of Rs 200 crores and is produced by Dil Raju. Thaman scored the music and background score for this family entertainer. The theatrical and the non-theatrical rights of Vaarasudu are sold for record prices. A grand pre-release event of Vaarasudu will take place in Hyderabad on January 8th and the film releases on January 11th and will clash with Ajith's Thunivu.
