Rajamouli expressed his desire of making Mahabharat many times. During his recent visit to a conclave of surgeons, one of the surgeons Dr AK Guruva Reddy asked him about Mahabharat, “I saw Mahabharat as a Television serial which was for 266 episodes and in how many episodes you can conclude it? “ Rajamouli said for him to read and understand various versions of the Indian epic Mahabharat going to take a year and he is going to make it a series of 10-parts.

Rajamouli also said directing Mahabharat is his dream. This is not the first time Rajamouli talking about making the film on Mahabharata. Earlier he said If he make a movie on Mahabharat, the characters from Mahabharata will be different from what we see and what we read. Rajamouli will take a minimum a year to finish one film and making a series of 10-parts of films will definitely be a dream for the director.
