Allu Arjun and director Sukumar's Pushpa 2 has become a global box office sensation. The film has earned over Rs 800 crore worldwide in just four days, and is expected to cross Rs 1,000 crore within its first week in theaters. The sequel is particularly popular in the Hindi-speaking market, surpassing the original Telugu version and becoming the first Hindi film to earn over Rs 800 crore net in India. The film has performed exceptionally well, with the Hindi version contributing a significant portion of the total earnings of Rs 529.45 crore net over the four-day period.
The new film, Pushpa 2, is a sequel to the previous movie, Pushpa: The Rise, and continues the story of illegal red sandalwood trade. Directed by Sukumar, the film features the return of Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, along with Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in key roles.
