Maoist’s futile bid, blast culvert in Vizag

Maoists make a futile bid in the wee hours of the day. Maoists in the Vishakhapatnam agency area have blasted a culvert in Chaparathi Palem Village. This village falls under the G K Veedhi mandal of the district. In the early hours of Thursday Maoists of the agency area expressed their feelings by blasting a culvert in the district. What they gained out of it is yet to be ascertained. They have also sent a message to the people of the area to make the Bharath Bandh on 24th this month, a grand success.

The blast perplexed the public as it would only cause the inconvenience to the public largely. Another interesting aspect is that the culvert has to be built in public monies only as all other infrastructure projects across the nation. And by doing so it is a loss to the exchequer, the repercussions will be felt by the public as increased prices or in any other manner. This action only reflects that the Maoists who are believed to pioneer the cause of upliftment of rural folks have defied their own sentiments feel critics.

It may be noted that an earlier note left by the Maoists demanded, to immediately stop combing operations, stop harassing Adivasis, release innocent Adivasis who were lodged in jails by foisting false cases and hold the ‘vardhanti’ of Bhagat Singh on March 23. The Maoists also called for an Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) bandh on March 24. (With inputs from internet- AarKay)
