A 28-year-old resident of the Gandhi Girijan Colony in Habsiguda named as Bhukya Mohan hanged himself and committed suicide, the cause of death according to his family is fight for Telangana.The deceased is survived with wife, a son and a daughter.

Osmania University sub-inspector Madhusudhan Reddy said Mohan used to work as a driver and that his father Kishtu has several gup-chup pushcarts.

“Mohan might have committed suicide between 6 and 7 pm on Saturday. Though he didn’t leave behind any suicide note his family and neighbours said that he did it for the cause of Telangana,” police said.

According to them he had watched a film on Telangana and had committed suicide after getting excited.Mohan’s body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary and was handed over to the family after post-mortem.

Osmania University police has filed a case under suspicious death and they are probing.
