The CID department is going to take Bhanu Kiran, the accused in the murder of faction leader Suryanarayana Reddy, into their custody on Wednesday. While the CID claimed that they arrested Bhanu, who was moving around in cinematic style, he was produced before the media on Saturday evening. The same night he was produced before the Magistrate in Secunderabad. Bhanu was remanded to judicial custody and was put up in Manasasarovar Block in Cherlapalli prison. As expected, CID filed a petition with the court asking to handover Bhanu to them since they need to dig out many facts pertaining to the case.

The court has deferred the hearing to today. After hearing the arguments of CID today, the court agreed to hand over Bhanu Kiran into their custody for nine days. The court, however, directed the CID not to use third degree on Bhanu Kiran. It has also said that the accused should be enquired only in the presence of an advocate.

The CID sleuths are supposed to produce Bhanu Kiran in court on May 4.
