A Pakistani intelligence inside wire has revealed that Taliban is targetting to execute former president Pervez Musharraf next.
Musharraf, who has been under house arrest at his farmhouse in Chak Shahzad in Islamabad since April 19 , following multiple criminal charges including plotting former premier Benazir Bhutto's murder, axing more than 60 senior during emergency rule in November 2007 and murdering Nawab Akbar Bugti, is currently facing terrorist attack threat.
Security agencies have alerted all relevant departments and officials, tipping them that the attackers might attack Musharraf disguised as security officials.
The intelligence sources have indicated of a possible attack on the exiled President by Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and the banned terrorist group Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) that is currently operating as Ahle Sunnah Wal Jammat.
So far, Musharraf has survived three assassination attempts as country's president.
Post the 2007 military offensive, Parvez Musharraf has gone on to the top the Taliban hit list. Taliban had now vowed to assassinate him.
